JAWBONE PARTNERS WITH TRG’S ASTON MARTIN RACING PROGRAM IN PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE AT SONOMA RACEWAY

SONOMA, CA – August 25 – Jawbone, creator of the award-winning and best-selling Jawbone Jambox (Bluetooth® wireless speaker system) and Jawbone UP (a MotionX powered health monitoring device which tracks activity level, in steps, and the quality of sleep), will be a partner for TRG-AMR North America’s Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 in Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge GT class race at Sonoma Raceway.  Piloted by team owner and 24-hour of Le Mans and 24 hour of Daytona winner Kevin Buckler, the car will start 7th in GT class, qualifying Saturday with a time of 1:36.84.

“Having one of the great companies in the Silicon Valley get behind our Aston Martin Racing program at one of America’s premier road courses is a great way to kick off our awesome new GT3 program,” said Buckler.   “Their wearable technology and audio devices are unparalleled in technical innovation, and we look forward to this partnership.”

TRG-AMR will compete with four Aston Martin’s in Sunday’s race (11:10 a.m. PT) with Buckler’s No. 66 GT3 running in the GT class.  It will be the first race in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 for TRG-AMR.  Three Vantage GT4’s will race in the GTS class.  Brandon Davis sits on the front row of that class, qualifying second in the No. 27 Aston Martin GT4. Teammates Drew Regitz (No. 63) and Mark Klenin (No. 62) qualified eleventh and thirteenth respectively.

The Petaluma-based team operates Aston Martin Racing’s North American motorsports program.  In addition to the Pirelli World Challenge, it competes in all the top levels of sports car racing, including the American Le Mans Series, and the Grand-American Series.
