For TRG-Aston Martin Racing North America, the 11 days of the New York International Auto Show were just the beginning. Positioned at one of the show’s premier locations, TRG-AMR’s three-car armada consisting of two Vantage GT4s and a Vantage GT3, easily became the most photographed race cars at the annual mega-show which saw more than a million people visit the Javits Center.

During the show, TRG-AMR announced the appointment of Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of North America Series Director LisaKay Golde for the one-make series scheduled to debut in 2014. A major initiative of the show was to garner interest with potential drivers for that series.

Limited Availability at Monticello

The next phase for those interested drivers will occur May 3-5 at Monticello Motor Club, North America’s premier automotive resort and private race track. The 4.1-mile track is set in 175 wooded acres of stunning terrain, and opening it’s doors to non-members exclusively for this event, presenting a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who want to experience it. TRG-AMR will bring at least two GT4s to the scenic New York road course for interested prospects to drive the cars, obtain valuable data acquisition and receive coaching from professional drivers.

“The interest we have received from potential drivers during the show has been overwhelming,” said TRG-AMR CEO Kevin Buckler. “The spots at Monticello are extremely limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. I believe we are nearly all booked, but we are hoping to add a third race car by then that could open a few more slots. It will be the perfect opportunity to learn more about the new Vantage GT4 and secure one for the upcoming season as well as get ready to participate in the GT4 Challenge series for 2014.”

Official registration and more information about the May 3-5 event can be made by contacting Golde at lisakay@trg-amr.com or (707) 364-4741.  The fee for a one-day session that includes training and driving time in the GT4 plus access to Monticello’s fleet of track vehicles is $2,500.   Insurance and meals are included.
