TRG-AMR is racing its Aston Martin V8 Vantages in the GTS class at Sonoma raceway this weekend, just 30 minutes from the team’s headquarters. The Pirelli World Challenge Sonoma Grand Prix promises a full weekend of sportscar racing, entertainment, wine and camaraderie in store for the team’s drivers and over 150 guests, who will enjoy the spectacular wine country scenery from their private LaSalle Solutions/Crowdstrike hillside hospitality venue.
Drivers Jason Alexandridis, Derek DeBoer, George Kurtz and Greg Milzcik will compete at this penultimate race of the season. With only two more events remaining in the 2016 championship, and with some of the toughest competition ever seen in the series, the drivers are going to be aiming even higher for top results on the team’s home track as friends and partners LaSalle Solutions, Crowdstrike, and RingCentral enjoy the race from the hillside.
This is also a home race for Alexandridis, who lives just a few miles away in the town of Novato. As the owner of Rebounderz, an indoor entertainment facility and trampoline park in nearby Rohnert Park, the Sonoma race is particularly significant to the Marin county driver. Alexandridis will be partnered with Derek DeBoer in the No. 09 BRM Chronographes/Rebounderz Rohnert Park/Racing for Cancer/Pirata Della Strada/Simon Ward Aston Martin.
George Kurtz, driver of the No. 04 Crowdstrike car, will be racing in front of his family and corporate guests at Sonoma. The cybersecurity company he co-founded, Crowdstrike, has partnered with longtime friends of the team, LaSalle Solutions, to host a large private hospitality venue at Turn 4. This executive area is a glowing example of the rich opportunities found in the TRG paddock as over 150 guests will be sharing the racing experience in this festive environment. RingCentral will also introduce guests to the TRG racing experience for the first time, and will be able to share the LaSalle Solutions and Crowdstrike experience at the track.
Greg Milzcik returns to the Aston Martin after taking part in TRG’s Porsche events this year. He’ll race the No.77 Wolfwood Refuge/That Newfoundland Place V8 Vantage for the team. His past history with TRG-AMR includes taking 2nd place in the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge North America. In 2015, as a part of the TRG-AMR North America team, Milzcik traveled to Le Mans to participate in the Aston Martin Festival and race at the historic Circuit de la Sarthe.
Of special note this weekend is DeBoer’s storyline: His endurance will certainly be tested with not just PWC sprint racing, but also Lamborghini. DeBoer is in Austin to race the No. 66 Lamborghini Huracán in the Super Trofeo series for two races before returning to Sonoma to race with Jason Alexandridis. DeBoer’s last success was a PWC win at Road America, plus multiple SprintX wins with Alexandridis, most recently at PWC Utah.
Finally, the team’s annual party, a private affair at the Petaluma headquarters, will be an event to show appreciation to all of TRG’s 2016 partners as well as a chance to relax after a few days at the track.LaSalle Solutions, Crowdstrike, RingCentral, and many more guests will get to try the newest offerings from Adobe Road Wines while mingling amongst new friends and the team’s race shop. This year, the party’s theme celebrates the local heritage of both the winery and the race team. In celebration of the announcement of the new winery tasting room in downtown Petaluma, which will soon make way for a multi-million dollar facility on the town’s waterfront, the TRG race shop will be decorated with traditional Sonoma Wine Country elements throughout.
“We are looking forward to this amazing weekend at Sonoma – so many things going on! All four drivers are ready for action and I’m looking for strong results. Jason and George both have tremendous experience at this track and Greg has been working so hard (as he always does) to continually and methodically move up the ladder of racing. Derek is doing the Iron Man “double duty” in Austin and Sonoma and I’m looking for personal bests all around from these drivers, and podium finishes in these wonderful Aston Martin GT4 racecars.
“Our friends at LaSalle Solutions have been fantastic partners in always helping us bring together these wonderful opportunities around motorsports. They are joining this week with our partners at Crowdstrike and RingCentral with a beautiful hospitality suite overlooking the entire racetrack and also at our big Sonoma soirée on Saturday night. We are showing the world that motorsports is just a fantastic place to do business and build fantastic relationships! We’re having a great time, getting deals done and continually seeing strong growth & ROI for all of our partners. We are in a magic moment right now and the growth of the sport and we love that we are leading the charge!”
Steven Robb, President of the Solutions group at LaSalle Solutions, a leading provider of technology lifecycle management services, is celebrating the company’s augmented support of TRG by hosting their guests at an executive hospitality tent in one of the most beautiful sections of Sonoma Raceway. LaSalle Solutions is also celebrating a new corporate partnership with Nimble Storage, a predictive flash storage technology company out of the Bay Area. “As LaSalle Solutions and our award winning LAMP Cloud Based Platform are running at the speed of flash with the new Nimble All Flash Array, and we chose to introduce our partnership during a weekend of speed.”
