ELKHART LAKE, WI (August 5, 2016): This weekend, the stunning Voodoo Blue No 66 TRG Lamborghini Huracán is in Wisconsin for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series. From August 5th–7th, TRG drivers drivers Joel Janco and Gerry Kraut will compete at the gorgeous Road America circuit for two sprint races, and are looking for strong finishes and hopefully a victory. The Super Trofeo series, which is part of an entire weekend of IMSA sportscar racing, is a thrilling Lamborghini-only competition held all across the globe.

Though not new to the team, Joel Janco has raced in many different series over the years, including within SCCA, USF2000, Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge, and IMSA Prototype Lites. In 2014, he captured third place in the Lites Masters Championship. In the same year, he raced the No. 09 TRG-Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge at Daytona. The Key Largo resident brings DeathtoLionfish.org to the team livery as part of a public service announcement about this invasive Carribean fish.

Gerry Kraut is a financial advisor and CEO of Dougherty & Company, a Financial Real Estate Group out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to his professional acumen, Kraut carries with him a well rounded racing history, with 5 years competing in IMSA Prototype Lites preceded by 5 years in the Star Mazda series. Earlier in his racing career, Kraut took to the course in another open wheel series, the USF2000.

Now, he and Janco will experience the 620-horsepower, No. 66 Dougherty Funding/ DeathtoLionfish.org/LaSalle Solutions/Adobe Road Winery Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 at Road America. There are 21 total Lamborghinis competing this race weekend. The last time TRG competed with this car, it resulted in a thrilling podium finish for Derek DeBoer and James Davison at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California.

TRG is once again hosting an elite group of guests at Road America in both the all-access team paddock and the luxurious Lamborghini private suite. Friends and supporters of the team, LaSalle Solutions, along with a small group of wealth management advisors and invited guests, are enjoying all that sportscar racing has to offer — in both business and pleasure. TRG’s popular sunset wine cruise on Elkhart Lake presents a wonderful opportunity for guests to relax and mingle after a day at Road America with a glass of Adobe Road wine in hand. The following evening, the wine flows freely at a private dinner on the shores of the serene Crystal Lake. These social evenings provide a much-appreciated balance between the adrenaline of the racetrack setting with a comfortable and fun evening environment, and it’s one of the reasons that corporate clients continue to choose TRG over more traditional golf and sports stadium suite options to entertain their guests.

“Although this is only our second race with this beautiful new Lamborghini, everyone on the team feels we are ready,” said Kevin Buckler, TRG CEO. “Joel and Gerry are both accomplished and experienced racers and they know this track well. We are also very familiar with the circuit after years of racing and winning here in multiple classes and feel we can translate that to a competitive racecar for our drivers. The series is extremely well organized and the cars are way cool! Our first race in Monterey earlier this year resulted in success and we are looking for the same here at Road America. We are all very excited to be racing with Joel and Gerry as part of our team as well.”

Janco and Kraut race on Saturday, August 6th from 5:50 pm – 6:40 pm, and Sunday, August 7th from 12:25 pm – 1:15 pm. All times Central. Watch live at IMSA.TV and see the full weekend schedule at IMSA.com.

DeathToLionfish.org: Lionfish have invaded the Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida and Gulf of Mexico – the INVASION ZONE. Populations are exploding and the invasion could become disastrous for coral reef ecosystems. An obvious question is why aren’t lionfish a problem in the Pacific? Surprisingly, not much is known about lionfish ecology in the Pacific. Some scientists speculate that large groupers might eat them and that other predators consume lionfish eggs, but nobody really knows for sure. What we do know is that in the INVASION ZONE, few natural predators exist – except for humans! Learn more at deathtolionfish.org.
