PETALUMA, CA – April 25, 2016: The Racer’s Group (TRG) today announced further expansion of their racing division to include the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series, set to launch its fourth season in North America at the IMSA WeatherTech Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on April 28-May 1st. The addition of the Lamborghini Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo model to the team’s arsenal of powerful GT cars is TRG’s latest move to continuously stay on the leading edge of top-level racing in North America.

Joining the Lamborghini one-make series further establishes TRG as a pacesetter in building and maintaining a luxury lifestyle environment in the paddock. Combined with team’s sister company, Adobe Road Wines, the Italian marque contributes to TRG’s coveted status as a leader in providing “backstage pass” experiences and relationship building through motorsports motorsports for astute business executives and companies. Friends and sponsors LaSalle Solutions will continue their support from the pit wall and paddock for the duration of the season, entertaining their Silicon Valley-based IT clients with enviable access to the experiences, the racecars and drivers. Guests will have an opportunity to view the record-setting TRG wristwatch, one of the lightest of its kind in the world, just released for pre-order by BRM Chronographes.

The dual-car TRG-Lamborghini Super Trofeo team will be revealed for the season opener at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. TRG’s classic “Voodoo Blue” color and famed “No. 66” will adorn the Huracán driven by Derek DeBoer and James Davison. The car’s 620 horsepower, naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engines make these machines some of the fastest GT racers on the track today, and testing is already underway.

“This is definitely an exciting new chapter in the history of TRG and we are debuting it at one of our favorite events here at Laguna Seca,” said Kevin Buckler, CEO. “I’ve watched for several years as Lamborghini has built this program. They have done a truly fantastic job and I was blown away last year at the World Finals race at Sebring and the warm welcome we received. As one of the top teams in professional sports car racing, we are looking at a strong new partnership with this amazing brand and also doing a proper and respectful job in executing in all areas at our first race. We definitely have a lot to learn but I am proud of our team and I know we can do it. We will work hard to help Lamborghini grow the series, bring all of the TRG touches and of course try to run the most competitive program possible.”

TRG Hospitality will be in full effect at the Laguna Seca event, with the highlight being an elegant wine dinner for guests and sponsors. On Saturday night, the TRG garage and paddock area will transform into a little glimpse of the wine country, with invited guests mingling over upscale food and Adobe Road Wine selections to cap off a truly incredible race weekend.
