The Racer’s Group aims to follow up with their success at the opening rounds of the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA for the second weekend of the series at The Thermal Club in Southern California. From April 8-10, Craig Lyons, Bob Bramlage and Patrice Gautier will race their TRG Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars on the beautiful private track.
“It’s great to be down here with the guys and with our brand-new Cayman program,” said Kevin Buckler, TRG CEO. “The series is going to be a blast this year, and we are proud to be back with Porsche running this multi-car effort. Hats off to Greg Franz and everybody from the series and also to the new owners and the staff here at Thermal. The facility is beautiful and growing and we are glad to be racing here. I know everybody on the team is ready and we are looking forward to a competitive and fun weekend in the desert!”
With support from the TRG crew, Gautier hopes to continue his podium streak after earning 2nd place at the Circuit of the Americas. The drivers will enjoy both races at The Thermal Club on the “Two Palms” configuration, which is a 3.1 mile, 18-corner track. The weekend event begins on Friday, April 8, with three practice sessions followed by races on both Saturday and Sunday.
